James Weisman is General Counsel for United Spinal Association. He helped write the Americans with Disabilities Act and partook in the signing ceremony. Jim’s lawsuits on behalf of United Spinal are legendary. They led to nationwide improvements to curb cuts, bus and subway accessibility and the creation of paratransit. Weisman's work also led to more accessible New York City Taxis. Many other cities modeled their own accessible taxi policies on Jim’s work for New York City.
