Kristen Hart, an L1 paraplegic, demonstrates how she swims using a floating device called the UFloat.
Kristen says she needed to find a floating device that was U.S. Coast Guard regulated to be able to use it at her local rec center. She found the UFloat, which is described as an upside-down life jacket. Kristen essentially sits in the float, as the device goes between her legs, secures her torso, and has a high back.
Check Kristen out as she moves freely through the water swimming laps using her arms. She swims forward and backward!
