At the first sight, it’s easy to see that Theresa is an athlete, but ironically, many people struggle to believe she actually does sports.
She’s been surprising people whom she has had encounters with, in this case, taxi drivers. Many of them start a conversation with her by asking her the kind of sports she does and how. However, Theresa finds that they don’t really understand how she does it. “Some of them get shocked because they don’t think a person with disability can swim,” Theresa says with a laugh, “They don’t really know how it links because they don’t know you can just swim with your arms.”
