Wheel:Life is a global initiative that assists people in addressing the many questions and challenges that come with using a wheelchair. They have provided a list of five extreme activities for the adrenaline junkies and/or sports enthusiast.
“If you love the great outdoors, breathtaking speeds, and stomach-dropping heights, add these five extreme diversions to your bucket list!”
Mountain Biking

Wheel:Life says that mountain biking is one of the most popular adaptive sports. If you have an adaptive sports program in your area, chances are they probably have a hand cycle. One can still go off-roading, even if there are no mountains around. There are organizations constantly coming up with different features to enhance a user’s biking experience.
Surfing
Wheel:Life gives resources to check out if you are interested in catching some waves. Check out their original post for more details.
WCMX
Wheel:Life writes, “you’ve probably noticed skateboarders and BMXers at a local skatepark, but have you ever seen someone in a wheelchair tricking and flipping with the best of them?” Wheelchair motocross is a fairly new sport, but there are some awesome athletes paving the way for others to enjoy the sport. “Just be sure to get yourself the necessary protective gear before attempting anything crazy…crashing and burning is guaranteed!”
Bungee Jumping

Wheel:Life states bungee jumping is sure to push your limits and satisfy your adrenaline rush cravings. Did you know you can even jump while sitting in your wheelchair?
Skydiving
Wheel:Life says, “you may not be able to walk, but you most definitely can fly!” If jumping out of a plan peaks your interest Wheel:Life suggests contacting a local skydiving outfitter and ask if they can accommodate adaptive tandem jumpers.
Make sure you have the necessary equipment and protection for whichever sport you choose to participate in. Wheel:Life advises to do your research on the organization beforehand to ensure they are reputable. Consult a medical professional before taking part in any sport.
