The Ultimate Packing List

“One of the most daunting tasks of traveling can be packing,” shares Scott Chesney, an avid traveler.

Once you know how much you’re able to pack, you can get an idea of what size suitcase you need and what assistance might be available to you along the way. Don’t forget to ask your hotel if they offer any assistance for unpacking or repacking!

The next step is to make your detailed packing list, well ahead of your actual departure date.

Key components of a packing list if you have a disability:

  •  A one-sheet list of important contact numbers– this includes for medical supplies and suppliers, healthcare needs, etc.

  • One extra cushion (or repair kit)

  • Medicines

  • Medical supplies – this includes equipment like shower chairs, transfer boards, etc. that is not provided by the hotel.

  • Extra clothes – Unfortunately, bladder and bowel accidents can happen.
