Safety, Empowerment, and Dignity:
Improving the Airport Journey of Customers Using Wheelchairs

Are you an adult using wheelchairs when you travel? Your valuable insights are needed!

InterVISTAS is currently collaborating with Indiana University – Bloomington (IUB) to collect information on the air travel experiences of people with disabilities. Funded by the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine, this project strives to identify ways to enhance the air travel experiences of individuals using wheelchairs.

How to Participate:

  1. Register: To ensure we have authentic human participants, please first complete the screening survey at https://go.iu.edu/8vQ9. This will only take 5 minutes.
  2. Survey: Once registered, eligible participants (those aged 18 or older, living with a disability that requires the use of wheelchair, and currently residing in the U.S.) will receive a link to the full online survey.

Your Privacy Matters: Participation in the survey is entirely voluntary. All information you provide will be kept strictly confidential.

Have Questions? If you have any questions or would like more information about the study, please don’t hesitate to contact the research team at:

The survey will close once we have reached our target number of completed responses. Your participation can make a significant impact in enhancing travel experiences for individuals with disabilities.
