Paraplegic Visits Vaduz, Liechtenstein

Joseph, who is a paraplegic, stopped by the town of Vaduz, Liechtenstein, during his tour around Europe back in 2012. Although he only stayed in the town for a few hours, the small country still left a deep impression on him.

What really surprised Joseph was the accessibility within the town. He noticed that there were “elevators for almost every building that [he has] been to,” and that “handicapped parking is pretty abundant.” Other facilities like the bathrooms and ATM machines were equally accessible as well.

What also made his short trip to Vaduz special was the beautiful scenery. Home to the Liechtenstein castle and surrounded by huge mountains, Liechtenstein is truly a picturesque location. While Joseph admits that there is not much to see in this small town, he nevertheless agrees that “it’s a really good location to visit if you’re a disabled person.”
