Joseph gets around town in his wheelchair accessible van, and he demonstrates how he gets into his vehicle and transfers into the driver’s seat.
With the van parked at the curb, Joseph lowers the side-entry ramp with the click on a remote control. Once the ramp is down, he pushes himself into the vehicle.
Joseph lines up his wheelchair between the two front seats and engages the break. “Then I transfer into the driver’s seat,” he says. He uses his arms to pull himself up and out of his wheelchair, and maneuvers himself into the driver’s seat.
