How To Move A Chair

Moving a chair out of the way on your own when you can’t balance or move your fingers, might seem tough, but Meg, a quadriplegic, says it’s pretty easy! She moves furniture when she’s at home, especially when she wants to clean under a table or chair.

She first moves the chair away from a table. “That whole time, my wheelchair brakes were locked,” she advises. “That gives me stability.” Once the chair is away from the table, she’s able to push it with her wheelchair. If she needs to change directions, she just locks up to turn it and then pushes it again.
