How To Flip On A Light Switch With No Finger Movement

“When I was first paralyzed, everything was so new, and everything was so hard.”

Meg, a quadriplegic shares about learning new things after her spinal cord injury. This included a task even as seemingly simple as flipping on a light switch. “It’s so easy now, but it was so hard at first,” Meg shares. “You just have to learn how to use your hands the way they want to work, instead of trying to use your hands the way they used to work.”

By using the flat part of her hand, she’s able to flip a switch up, and by putting her hand above and moving it down, she’s able to switch it off.
