Finding helpers can be tough. “We go through agents for our foreign domestic helpers or just go online…It’s not really tips it’s luck. Finding a good helper requires luck”, says Aaron.
Communication plays an important role. The information given in their bio data may not always be reliable and there may be challenges with the helper’s English level. Many times people select their helpers based on their nationality if they have second language abilities such as Malay to communicate with them. The only thing that you will be able to work with is their nationality and their picture. Many of Aaron’s friends do phone interviews. However, Aaron works with what he has on the website. “For me, I just wing it I guess,” he shares with a smile.
