How To Close A Door From A Wheelchair

When Meg leaves her house, closing a door behind her can be complicated from a wheelchair, especially when you have no abdominal control or finger movement.

Once Meg is out of her house, she turns back around and faces the door. By leaning forward, she’s able to start pushing on the door itself to get momentum by hitting it against the wall so it gets close enough that she’s able to reach and hook her hand on the door handle and pull it shut the rest of the way.

“You gotta do what you gotta do to get stuff done!”
