Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation
Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation is Tennessee’s largest freestanding, nonprofit inpatient rehabilitation facility, offering both innovative and individualized treatments for those with spinal cord injuries and other forms of paralysis. Located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, individuals can recover and prepare for home through Siskin Hospital’s holistic approach, caring for not only their physical well-being, but mental and emotional as well.
The expert clinicians at Siskin Hospital utilize evidence-based physical medicine to optimize recovery, employing techniques such as high-intensity gait training, functional electrical stimulation (FES), and supported body weight systems to harness neuroplasticity. Siskin Hospital’s continuum of care allows patients to transition from inpatient rehabilitation to outpatient services, where clinicians integrate patients’ daily life activities into their treatment plan.
In conjunction with the organization’s inpatient spinal cord program is the community-based initiative, S.O.A.R. at Siskin Hospital (Spinal Cord Outreach, Advocacy, and Resilience), which allows individuals with spinal cord injuries and their loved ones to connect, grow, and support each other, as well as reaching the broader community.
