Our Mission: Empowering Lives, Building Communities

United Spinal’s First Giving Week

United Spinal Association fights for wheelchair users. And we can’t do it without your support. During our first-ever Giving Week, we are appealing to everyone who considers themselves part of our cause to lend us their support.

Every contribution helps keep us in the fight. There are many ways to give, including breaking up your tax-deductible contribution into a monthly pledge. Also, many employers will match employee donations—often doubling the impact of your gift!

Every donation counts, large or small. Gifts of all amounts will help us reach—and exceed—our initial goal of $50,000 and support our programs serving wheelchair users. Be one of the first 25 donors, and you will receive some United Spinal swag.

Help us reach our goal. We need your support.

How You Can Help

Donate. Your generous contributions directly benefit wheelchair users. Whether it’s funding Community Support, supporting our Tech Access Program, Pathways to Employment, or supporting Advocacy and Policy Support, your donation makes a tangible difference.

Share our posts on social media to help us raise awareness about the challenges faced by wheelchair users and how individual donations support our mission. By lending your voice to our efforts, you can help build a more inclusive future for all.

Become a monthly supporter and spread your gift across the whole year. Your monthly contributions help sustain our vital work by providing steady support that empowers us to advance our mission!

Here are some examples of how your gift can support our mission:

$25 will cover gas for a peer mentor to meet new a peer

$50 provides a Ready to Roll emergency kit

$75 provides training for a new peer mentor

$100 provides ten members a free one-year subscription to New Mobility magazine

$150 covers the cost of running an hour-long peer support group session

$500 supports a wheelchair user to go through our employment training series

$1,500 pays for an advocate to attend our policy and advocacy conference Roll on Capitol Hill

$1,500 pays for a member to attend our StrongWheeled Together Conference

$3,500 will support one month of a campaign to engage underserved and rural communities

$10,000 covers the costs associated with one week of Resource Center support

Together, We Can Make a Difference

Giving Week is not just about raising funds; it’s about coming together as a community to support and uplift each other. Join us in our mission to empower lives and build inclusive communities for everyone.
