Getting Stuff Down Without A Reacher

What do you do when stuff is up high and you have to get it without a reacher?

Meg, a quadriplegic with limited hand function, has found a way to use a common kitchen broom to get the job done. It requires some maneuvering of her chair to get a view of what she’s going for. By using the non-brush side of the broom, she reaches up into a basket where she retrieves some plastic cups.

“I learned this trick a long time ago when I was first paralyzed,” she said. Nothing like a little creativity to get the job done! Meg now also has a reacher that she uses, to give another option.
