Facing Fear To Try New Things

Michele wishes someone had told her in the beginning not to be afraid to try new things.

Paralyzed at age 20 and now a quadriplegic, Michele didn’t have that advice. Having recently tried kayaking, she knows first hand. “I was scared to death,” she says, “but it was great.” Overcoming fear for her has allowed her to open doors she might have never imagined in her early days of being paralyzed. Now, she’s more open to new things.
