Mission Statement
The mission of USAIC is to serve as a comprehensive resource center for individuals who have spinal cord injury (resulting from trauma or conditions of the central nervous system) their families, health professionals, policy makers and others interested in spinal cord injury. Activities of USAIC address major areas such as medical care, rehabilitation, research and all aspects of living with a spinal cord injury, as well as injury prevention.
USAIC seeks to fulfill this mission through a combination of services including Information and Referral, Peer Support, Newsletters, Educational Programs for individuals with spinal cord injury, family members and health professionals. USAIC also presents Injury Prevention Programs to schools, senior citizens and other groups.
