As Hurricane Ian approaches the west coast of Florida and the Panhandle, United Spinal wants our members who are directly impacted and the larger disability community in this region to know we are here to offer support.
If you reside near these areas or know someone who does, please read or share this disability-specific hurricane emergency preparedness information that could save lives and keep people safe.
We advise you to prepare now, if you have yet to do so. When a hurricane threatens your community, be prepared to evacuate if you live in a storm surge risk area. Allow enough time to pack and inform friends and family if you need to leave your home.
For disability-specific support and information, contact our Resource Center hotline at 800-962-9629 or online support desk.
