“If you got a spinal-cord injury, some things are going to work for you, some things aren’t; you just have to find out what the one is that is going to work for you, and go with that.”
“You just can’t function like you did before,” shares Mike, a paraplegic, about his experiences with sex after his spinal cord injury. “We tried Viagra, Levitra and all these, these other drugs that seem to work in other spinal cord patients, but didn’t really seem to do anything for me.” While some solutions work for some people, it won’t work for everyone. There are many options out there to consider, from medications to vibrators or pumps, all of which are geared to helping a man’s sexual performance that is affected by a disability. “It was the biggest thing that I was still able to perform,” he shares. Each person’s body’s function and sensation is different, so experiment!
