Leon S. Peters Rehabilitation Center

For more than 30 years, Leon S. Peters Rehabilitation Center has provided a comprehensive spinal cord injury rehabilitation program for the Central Valley and surrounding areas. Located within Community Regional Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma and Burn center, our hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation unit provides a multidisciplinary approach to training patients and their caregivers to go home with the highest level if independence possible. Our formal spinal cord injury education series is customized to each individual patient and is designed to fully inform patients and their caregivers about living with a spinal cord injury. After discharge, there is a Spinal Cord Injury support group sponsored by Leon S. Peters Rehabilitation Center for individuals to remain connected, gain access to resources, meet other individuals with spinal cord injuries and their caregivers, and get involved.
