Mission Statement

The mission of the United Spinal Association of Southern Michigan (USASM) is to provide advocacy and empowerment to those affected by spinal cord injury and disease to access resources and knowledge available in the community to improve quality of life.  We will achieve this mission through local, state, and national advocacy; educational seminars; community and social events to promote independence and awareness; and partnering with existing organizations who share common goals.

SCI/D, individuals with mobility disabilities who use wheeled mobility devices
